you're definitely in the right place.
I’ll cry during your vows, make you laugh when the nerves kick in, and politely redirect Aunt Karen if she decides to hover a little too close.
Because if I'm being honest… I’ve been exactly where you are.
Stuck feeling like a traditional wedding just wasn’t my vibe.
Wanting something more, but not exactly knowing what that “more” looked like yet.
When I got engaged, I only had a vague idea of what eloping meant.
Honestly, my partner and I originally wanted to elope in Hawaii. But like a lot of couples, we ended up feeling pressure from family to do something closer to home and include them.
(Don’t be like us.)
If we were going to elope locally though, we knew exactly where we wanted it to be:
The Adirondack Mountains.
Our favorite place.
So with a vague vision and a little bit of blind confidence, I somehow planned our entire elopement in under six weeks.
I rented an Airbnb with a view in Lake Placid, bought fall decor from Hobby Lobby, grabbed some lanterns and chiffon for our ceremony setup, and invited our immediate family(parents, siblings, and one friend each.)
Then we just… went for it.
I hired a local hair and makeup artist (God rest her soul), and we secured our photographer.
Pixie lights were strung, the deck was decked out, the tables set, and somehow the whole thing pulled together, elevated plastic dinnerware and all.
The Next thing you know...
My father in law finished his beautiful adirondack themed ceremony speech as our officiant, we were married, and headed off to our hike.
The photos were gorgeous.
The night was perfect.
My dad (a personal chef) cooked our dinner, we ate, danced in the living room by the fire, and ended the night in the hot tub drinking Sam Adams Pumpking beers together.
Magical, right?
And the most insane part?
I planned the entire thing in under six weeks.
Yeah… I know. I’m a little crazy.
After experiencing what it felt like to elope in such an incredible place, something shifted for me.
I realized there were probably so many couples out there who felt the exact same way we did.
Wanting something different.
Something more intentional.
Something that actually feels authentic to them.
At the time, I was dabbling in landscape photography as a hobby and doing the occasional family session.
But after our elopement, I knew immediately that this was what I wanted to do.
Help couples create experiences like the one we had.
And that, my friends, is how I ended up here… years later.
Before becoming an elopement photographer, I spent ten years working in law enforcement.
Which means two things:
I’m always prepared for worst-case scenarios, and your safety is always my top priority.
I’m calm under pressure, quick to problem solve, and used to handling unpredictable situations.
I’ve also spent over a decade hiking and exploring the Adirondack Mountains, which means I know the landscape incredibly well, including many of the off-the-beaten-path locations most people never find.
And something else about me that shaped my perspective a lot:
I have ADHD and am on the autism spectrum, which I didn’t discover until after I eloped.
Looking back, that explained a lot about why a big traditional wedding never resonated with me in the first place.
Because of that, I thrive with structure, planning, and thoughtful experiences that actually make sense.
Which is exactly what designing an elopement day is all about.
Creating something intentional, meaningful, and completely aligned with who you are.
“Emily is absolutely amazing. We stumbled across her less than a month before our June elopement and reached out on a whim - and she just happened to have availability! My husband and I are 46ers in progress and planned to spend the weekend in the Adirondacks climbing a bunch of mountains. We originally reached out hoping Emily could shoot some photos with us the morning before a hike, but this girl immediately offered to go all in and climb high peaks with us too!
We told her which mountains we were hoping to check off and she designed timelines and helped us plan the perfect weekend. We ended up hiking a short mountain the evening of our elopement ceremony (complete with a mountain top champagne pop and machete cake cutting) and then spent nearly 15 hours together climbing three mountains (Sawteeth, Pyramid Peak and Gothics) the following day, with stops at beautiful locations Emily scouted along the way.
Not sure how many photographers are crazy enough to agree to 15hrs of hiking for a client, but boy are we are so grateful to have found her.
We weren't sure what to expect, but when Emily sent us our photos we were ecstatic. They are absolutely gorgeous and capture us and our adventure weekend perfectly. We have been shouting her name from the rooftops and telling anyone willing to listen how amazing she is (I'm dramatic, but seriously - she's the best).
If you're looking for a badass, adventurous photographer willing to give it all to get you the perfect shot (like almost falling down a slippery rock ledge in order to get a rainbow in the shot at a water fall - speaking from experience), Emily is your girl! We still can't believe what she pulled off for us on such short notice. “

Still working on my 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks but always finding shorter off the grid peaks
Though we love trips, there is no place like home on our massive sectional watching our favorite show together, with some good ass food.
After struggling with infertility for so long, my pups are like my own children and I love retreating to nature with them!
From Country to EDM to Christian Rock, I’m in there like swimwear!
I may be a solid couch surfer and Netflix Binger but I can never sit still for too long!
I love to give back to my community anyway I can! Photographing events and Baptisms at my church fills my heart!
It was hard being a distance away from where we were getting married and Emily had fantastic communication which put any worry we had at ease! She answered any and all questions quickly. She made our photo session fun and not awkward! She kept open and consistent communication with us every step of the way. She also was flexible and easy going which was crucial for me! Also, her photos speak for themselves!! She is so talented! I would choose her again in a heartbeat!

My fiance hates his picture taken but always says he has a great time when Emily is taking our pictures. Can’t wait for her to photograph our wedding someday!!

My husband and I have not had our photos done together since we have gotten married (27+ years). Emily not only made the experience fun but turned the photos into something romantic. This is the second time we have used her for special moments, and I would 100% use her again. And recommend her to anyone.
